Drive-In Theaters in Nigeria
A drive-in cinema is a form of cinema structure consisting of a large outdoor movie screen, a projection booth, a concession stand and a large parking area for automobiles. Within this enclosed area, customers can view movies from the privacy and comfort of their cars.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, drive-in theaters reported an unexpected surge in attendance in several U.S. states as, unlike with indoor theaters unable to operate because of bans on mass gatherings, these were allowed to operate.
Drive-in cinemas were popular in Nigeria during the 80’s. With the pandemic situation on ground now, it’s only appropriate that we move to this alternative which is safe and more conducive as customers can view the movies from the comfort of their car.
